Saving one clip is easy. Saving all of a creator's uploads — sometimes thousands — is a different job, and the right tool depends on how many clips you're after.
Paste the profile link (redgifs.com/users/name) into RedGIFs Downloader. You get a card with the number of clips, followers and views, and how many API calls a full download takes (one call = 100 clips).
Open the clips you want on RedGIFs, copy their links, and paste up to 25 at a time (one per line). Download all saves them one after another. Good for "the best ten", not for 2,000.
Whole profiles go through our RedGIFs Downloader API on RapidAPI. Each call returns 100 clips as direct HD MP4 links with sound, plus SD, thumbnail, duration and tags — ready for a download manager or a short script.
| Plan | Price | Calls / month | Clips / month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | Free | 30 | 3,000 |
| Pro | $4.99 | 1,000 | 100,000 |
| Ultra | $14.99 | 10,000 | 1,000,000 |
| Mega | $39.99 | 100,000 | 10,000,000 |
A typical creator profile of a few hundred clips fits in the free plan with room to spare. The request looks like this:
GET /user/{name}/clips?page=1 # 100 clips per call; pages 1..N
If you're comfortable in a terminal, the open-source tools yt-dlp and gallery-dl both support RedGIFs and can walk a user's uploads. They're free and powerful, but you install them, keep them updated when RedGIFs changes, and deal with rate limits yourself.
A whole-profile download is for your own offline viewing. Reposting someone's catalogue elsewhere is a copyright problem no matter how the files were saved — see is downloading from RedGIFs legal?
Open RedGIFs Downloader →Paste the profile link (redgifs.com/users/name) into RedGIFs Downloader; it shows the clip count, followers and views, and how many API calls a full download takes.
Yes: the RedGIFs Downloader API's free Basic plan covers 30 calls a month at 100 clips per call — up to 3,000 clips. For a handful of clips, pasting up to 25 links at once on the site is free too.
Both open-source command-line tools support RedGIFs and can save a user's uploads if you're comfortable with a terminal.
