How to download RedGIFs images and galleries

Updated October 2026

RedGIFs isn't only video. Many creators post photos, and some posts are galleries — several pictures behind one link. Most downloaders only look for a video and either fail on these or hand you the first picture only.

A single image

  1. Copy the image post's link (redgifs.com/watch/… or an i.redgifs.com/i/… image link).
  2. Paste it into RedGIFs Downloader and press Get video.
  3. The picture is shown with Download image. It saves as uploader-name.jpg in full size.

A whole gallery

Paste the link of any picture from the gallery. The tool recognises that it belongs to a gallery and shows every image, each with its own download button, plus Download all N images at the top. (In our tests a three-image gallery saved three separate JPGs.)

Pasting several links at once? Galleries in the list are expanded too, so two links — a gallery of three and one clip — give you four files ready to save.

On a phone

Android puts the JPGs in Downloads, where your gallery app picks them up. On iPhone, Safari saves them to the Files app; open one and tap Share → Save Image to move it to Photos (iPhone guide).

Why the .jpg name matters

RedGIFs serves image posts as JPEG files. A downloader that assumes everything is a video names them .mp4, and then nothing opens them. We hit exactly that in our own testing and fixed it: images always save with their real extension.

FAQ

Can I download RedGIFs pictures, not just videos?

Yes. Paste the image post's link; you get the picture with a Download image button, saved as a JPG.

How do I download every image in a RedGIFs gallery?

Paste the link of any image in the gallery and press Get video. All images in the gallery are shown, with a Download all button that saves each one.

Why did my old download of a RedGIFs image not open?

Some tools save RedGIFs images with an .mp4 name even though the file is a JPEG, so players refuse it. Rename it to .jpg, or download it again here — images are saved with the right .jpg name.
