Most RedGIFs clips are found on Reddit — but Reddit only embeds them. The video file lives on RedGIFs, so a downloader needs the redgifs.com link, not the Reddit post link (reddit.com/r/…/comments/…). Paste a post link and RedGIFs Downloader tells you so: "That's a Reddit link." Here's how to get the right one.
redgifs.com/watch/clipname.On Android you can skip copying: once the tool is on your home screen it appears in the share menu (set it up).
Click the post's redgifs.com link (shown under the title, or the "open" arrow on the embedded player) — RedGIFs opens in a new tab. Copy the address bar. Alternatively right-click the embedded player: some browsers offer "Copy video address", which gives a media.redgifs.com/….mp4 link — that works too.
The post title itself links to RedGIFs. Right-click the title → Copy link address.

Tap the video so it opens full screen, then use the share or ⋯ menu on the video and choose Copy link. If the link still starts with reddit.com, tap the small redgifs.com label on the post to open it on RedGIFs and copy from there.
Yes. If the shared text contains a redgifs.com link anywhere in it, the tool picks it out.
